The First Run For Le Beau Gosse!

The First Run For Le Beau Gosse!

A trip to Bangor-on-Dee saw Le Beau Gosse and 13 members embark on the only racecourse in the UK without a grand stand. A lack of stadia was made up by the natural platform to view from. Members were treated to a brilliant 6-race card, with a fair few picking a couple of nice winners throughout the day.

Le Beau Gosse ran in the penultimate race, a novice hurdle event over 2 miles. The plan was to teach him loads on his British debut and bring his fitness along. Jockey, Toby Wynne, held him up off the pace as the leaders went off very quickly. He jumped with fluency, before staying on past horses to finish 8th. It was a very encouraging run and one which sets him up nicely for the season.

It was a brilliant day out and great to have so many members there, all with owners passes! Le Beau Gosse trotted up fine after the race and will have a quiet week before getting ready for his next run!
